| Good afternoon First Church Brooklyn Friends and Family, For more than 30 years the First Presbyterian Church of Brooklyn has been blessed to be in partnership with St. Ann's School, renting them our church property Monday – Friday for their pre-school and kindergarten classes. St. Ann's has been an ideal tenant and their rental contracts has been a significant source of the church's annual earned income. Earlier this year, St. Ann's School informed FPCB that they had secured a new building in Brooklyn Heights. Over the next few years they will be renovating the building and bringing all of their classes under one roof. Their pre-school and kindergarten will be moving out, most likely in late 2026. To address this vacancy, the Session has formed a task group who will focus on all the issues this change presents, including identifying potential new tenant(s) and addressing capital needs and upgrades. Elders Deborah Rennie-Walker, Diana Lee, Marc James and Jim Cummings, member Joyce Abernethy and FPC Media Director Chris Neuner have all agreed to serve on the Strategic Space Planning task group and congregational input will be sought in the process.
